Employment & Livelihood
Empowering through Sustainable Livelihoods
ORKCF believes that true social transformation begins when individuals gain the power to sustain their own lives with dignity. Through various employment and livelihood programs, we aim to reduce poverty and dependency by creating opportunities for sustainable income generation.
We provide small-scale entrepreneurs with seed capital and interest-free loans to start or expand businesses. By supporting both rural and urban ventures, our programs help families achieve financial security and contribute positively to their communities.
Skills for a Better Tomorrow
Our foundation places strong emphasis on skill development and vocational training to bridge the gap between education and employment.
We conduct technical training for youth in fields like computer operations, electrical work, and carpentry—empowering them to secure stable jobs or start independent trades.
For women, we offer tailoring, handicraft, and entrepreneurship workshops, helping them gain economic independence and social recognition. Each skill-based initiative is designed to ensure that no capable individual remains jobless due to lack of opportunity or guidance.
Building Resilient Communities
Beyond individual skill and employment, ORKCF fosters community-based livelihood projects that encourage teamwork, cooperation, and social inclusion. We support initiatives like cooperative farming, local manufacturing, and micro-enterprise networks—especially in rural areas where access to formal employment is limited.
Our programs also include family support assistance, especially for newly married or struggling families, helping them build a sustainable income base and a stable future. By nurturing both individual and community growth, we create a cycle of empowerment that strengthens the foundation of society itself.
Our Journey of Empowerment
Milestones in Employment & Livelihood Development
2018 – The Beginning of Hope
ORKCF initiated its first livelihood support project in rural Pabna, providing sewing machines and skill training to 25 underprivileged women.
This small initiative became the foundation of our long-term mission to make families self-reliant through sustainable income sources.
2019 – Expanding Vocational Training
We launched technical training programs for youth in computer literacy, electrical repair, and carpentry.
Over 100 young men and women completed their training and began earning independently — many even became trainers for others.
2020 – Supporting Families in Crisis
During the COVID-19 pandemic, ORKCF extended emergency livelihood support by providing small business funds, food packages, and skill refreshment workshops for those who lost their jobs.
This helped more than 200 families regain stability and dignity.
2022 – Establishing Skill Development Centers
We inaugurated the first Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Center, offering structured training for women, youth, and differently-abled individuals.
The center quickly became a hub for vocational growth and job placement partnerships.
2024 – Promoting Women Entrepreneurship
Our Women Empowerment Program scaled across multiple districts, providing micro-finance, handicraft training, and product marketing support.
Dozens of local women-led businesses were established, turning learners into leaders.
2025 – Vision for the Future
Looking ahead, ORKCF aims to establish district-level training hubs, promote digital freelancing and e-commerce skills, and create a nationwide employment network connecting skilled individuals with real job opportunities.
We continue to move forward with one goal — to transform every capable person into a contributor to society.
